Gramophone crackling sound

When I listen to the g'phone I hear a crackiling noise... can I edit this? I'd love to throw in some radio tuning sounds - or other sounds that might be heard as well.

Crackling is nice, but I'd like a bit more

Is the crackling noise you hear sound like a record-player needle skipping over-and-over, with no music? If so there's no real problem then, it's just the sound-effect of an old-fashioned gramphone.

Just place .wav (or .ogg, etc.) sound/music files in your gramaphone folder.

i.e., place the files in:

your drive:\SH3\Data\Sound\Gramaphone\

It's best to have the 'Music' setting un-checked in the Sound-Options, if using the gramaphone a lot.

There's so many WWII-type music packs, (also WWII radio/sounds mods, etc) for SH3. It really adds so a lot of 'atmosphere' to the game.

Yes yes yes, that "sound effect" of the scratching is the file I'd like to add to... anyone know where I can find it so I can edit/add to it?

I'll uncheck the sound box as suggested, I use the g'phone a lot!

....anyone else?

SilentHunterIII\data\Sound\Gramophone noise

It's just a short wav file that repeats, I don't know if it's possible to do what you're talking about.
