Battlship Question
I was just wondering (could find any mention of it on the forums), if i sink two Nelson class battleships (Nelson and Rodney) during my career will they stop appearing in that career.
Basically did they only allow a certain number of each class to be sunk or would the Nelson class keep appearing despite me having sunk both of them? |
I personally have ever only seen 2 (only got 1 hit on one of them) travelling together, but I know other's have posted that they have sunk 4 or 5 Nelson class, even though the Brits only ever had 2....

so they don't model class numbers.
whish id phrased it that simply before. |
There's a way to solve this problem.
After sinking two Nelson class ships, go to the data\roster\British\sea\BBNelson.cfg file and alter the disappearance date based on when you sank the second ship. That way, they won't appear for the rest of the war. Obviously you'll need to change it back for a new career, though. |
Somebody needs to cook up a mod for that, maybe something for a future SH3 Commander? Keeps a set of ship files externally and copies them over when you launch with your career inside SH3 Commander.
Personally, I like to create my own history, not replay the way it happened. Yeah, I'm a heretic. Burn me at the stake :P |
Don't know about BB's (Nelson's etc) I have took out a Illustrious class carrier in the open sea's and never seen one ever since includeing docked in Loch Ewe.
So I don't know if she was on her way to LE or what? |
This is what I've expirienced.

Someone should make a mod where EVERY ship has a cap on it. And if you blow them ALL up you can just relax for the rest of your career and sail the seven seas in style.
