Sound mod question & request
 

There are certain SHIII sounds that I would like to change, such as the torpedo doors opening/closing, and the Jawohl! speech file. Is there any reason the torpedo opening closing file cant be changed to a speech file with a report such as "torpedo doors open (closed), Sir!"? Regarding the Jawohl file, can it be changed to something besides a blank file? I prefer not to have the crews lips moving without sound.. Perhaps something like "right away, Sir!" would be better than nothing. Thanks, Joe S

The torpedo door sound is triggered when you press the keys to open and close the doors, so I don't think it can be changed. I could be wrong of course.

As for the "Yes, sir!" files, they can be changed to anything you like, as long as you have something that fits. Personally I just got tired of having the guy say "Yes, sir" just before he shouts "ALAAAARRM!". I just try not to look at his silent lip movements and ignore the resulting delays.
