no watch officer
 

Actually did RTFM but didn't see this. I have no watch officer- I'm in exams- tried to assign one from crew screen but no luck- without watch officer can't give commands- well, you know! Don't forget, you were new at this once. Thanks for any assistance!

He's not available in some of the training missions. I did the AAA training last night, and I had no watch officer. I never do on that mission, but once you start a campaign, you'll get one.

Firepole803, :/\rlz: Welcome to subsims forums.That said lets see if I can explain, all officers having names ,duties depend on where they are stationed on the boat.surfaced you will have a WO.if you have an officer stationed on the bridge.submerged if you fill his position in the comand compartment This is the crew management gig.The crew generaly seems to be lazy and needs lots of rest\management. have fun

Move an officer into the watch officer position. An officer with a watchman qualification does NOT HAVE TO be the watch officer. They increase efficiency when they're in their compartment, but any officer can issue commands as necessary.

The watch officer position is not filled when the boat surfaces. You have to manually move him over.
