Starforce updates?
 

Has anyone installed any patchs or updates for Starforce and if so are they of any benefit to SHIII or to your system? Where could I download the Starfoce updates?

TDK1044 had installed the update a while ago and now he can burn CD´s/DVD´s at max speed again:

You shouldn´t install it if you don´t have any problems.

Gizz is 100 percent correct. If it aint broke don't fix it. In my case, I had figured out why the Starforce Drivers had reduced the burn speed of my two internal burners (one CD and one DVD) and my external DVD burner by 50 percent, so I contacted SF about it and offered them a fix. I may not have been alone, because they quickly released updated drivers that resolved my issue. My burn speed is now back to 100 percent and there are no further issues on my system.

Whereas other companies release upgrades to their drivers to improve their products Starforce has decided to go the other way. They write and release "personal" upgrades for single users in order for their softward to cling to existence.

Makes great reading. Some of the "in their defence" statements are amazing.

I am afraid the Emperor Starforce is naked. They have no defence and their product does not do what they claim.
