Has anyone actually every finished the game or reached 1945. I've reacehd Januarey 17 1944 on a Type IID and March of 1944 in a Type IX but never reached 1945. Both of my campaigns finished with a devestating Plane\DD attack and a sinking in shallow water it really stunk.

yup all you get is a message "the war had endid

yep 9th May 1945 message pops up saying the war's over and you can sail past a destroyer and it won't bat an eyelid at you.
