I am shocked. |
I saw the video, and IMHO is the sea water through the funnels to the engines room. the engine boilers full of steam exploded.
|
kerrr BOOOOOM!

On a ship like the Barham, even with high pressure watertube boilers, the only evidence you'd see of a boiler explosion would be what blew out of the funnel. |
Good stuff.

Mirror (55MB), just in case bandwidth runs dry at the original site.

Thank you very much Lady! :yep:
Maybe you could also add a mirror to the low bandwith version of the video for the modem user out there ? :hmm: |
Wow! :o

Cant imagine the feeling being inside that big ship while it is capsizing. And the blast was just huge..Brave souls.

I am a former member of Titanic Historical Society and as a amateaur expert, the Braham exploded from her forward magzines. As you view the video clip, you see that it was too devastating to be a boiler explosion and it was forward of the boilerroom. It seems like it begins at the waterline or above it. Not beneath it like a boiler explosion.
