Just a side note to Avon Lady, and way off topic:

I went to your website and found it very land-mine intensive. I really hope you didn't take those pictures yourself with you being behind the camera viewfinder looking at all those mines! It just makes my skin crawl to think that one could be walking along and minding one's own business when all of the sudden you realise you are in the midst of a minefield.

If you choose to move somewhere more peaceful, you and your family are more than welcome to come join us in Canada. We are having a big nationwide promotion to get immigrants, and the only land mines you are likely to step in come from the bums of the neighborhood dogs.

@Avon Lady... tried it out and got lucky... 2 torps each, set for under keel, mag pistol.. but, then again, I only use 70% difficulty... on the egress, I received the 'congratulations' message from BdU way before I had acutally reached AK93... by the way, what is the experience level of the DD's?... they seemed to be very green...

Cordialement, Duke of Earl

These were taken by my husband during a 4x4 trip. Relax! The area is well mared with a beaten path. The first pic on the site is from a minefield that goes back to the 1948 war, along the border with Egypt. The following pics are of dummy mines, taken at a military expo.

Thanks but we would never think of leaving here. It's our home. And so many people have the wrong impression. Our children can go out of the house day and night and play in the park or ride their bikes. The only thing that keeps me worried is when they cross the street. Sure beats what my husband and I grew up with back in the States.

That's not to say things are coming up roses here but day by day, we're just fine, thank you.

But, yes, I like Canada. Always have.

I'll investigate.

Everyone else think I should maximize their lethality?

Your wish is my command! :yep:

Well I too got the message before reaching the grid, the DD did damage me but I dropped bold and snuck away perhaps a bit too easily. Great mission though, got the first liner ... this is alos a good "practice" mission for manual torpedo aiming. Thanks a bunch.

Just curious... why did you name it "Royal Flush"? :hmm:

Cheers

The names of the targets are the Queen Victoria and the Duchess of York.

This sounds like an excellent mission, but I can't get it to run. When the loading progress bar is near the end I get the old 'Don't send' type of crash.

I've installed it in the folder specified - called 'Royal Flush' - and copied in the Media.cfg file from another SP mission folder. Any idea what the problem might be? It must be something I'm doing wrong, since everyone else seems to have no trouble.

No mods installed, and SH3 otherwise working fine. The version of the mission is 1.01.

Beats me! :hmm:

The Media.cfg file is useless. Delete it and out of curiosity see if that makes a difference. But you never need that file. Read the sticky FAQ posts on the Mission Editing forum section.

That's what everyone had until today. Now 1.02 is available. Might as well download the new version, no?

What version do you have SH3 patched to? Pardon my asking but are you using a no-CD crack?

I will give it a spin later on tonight. :D
