Airplanes with torpedoes.
Immediately I link it with the dolphins.
Would it be a feature not finished by the DEVs?

I did try to attach Torps to the Swordfish 1's, all I got for my efforts was CTD's :(

I maybe wrong in this, but I believe its due to there being no Surface Torpedo ( 1 used by ships ) ammo. Or indeed for that matter 1 for planes.

Still it be nice to indeed see then torpedoing a ship !

Those Swordfish were torpedo planes but your seeing them on
the carrier is just eye candy. Unfortunately, the only torps
programmed in this game are yours from the sub. If you see
planes from the carrier attacking you, check their loads. You will
be bombs or DCs, not torpedos....

I remember that in aces of the deep there are acoustics torpedoes launched by aircrafts :dead:

One day, I think we will get torps on planes....probably 2010!

IIRC the devs decided not to add the FIDO to the allied aircraft since it was more or less an "instant kill" weapon (their words). That said, I've wondered if we couldn't mod the T-5s somehow to get them airdropped and working.

Interesting, especially since they basically chose to make all veteran and elite DD and DE depth charges 'instant kill weapons'.

Yep. No accounting for some decisions, eh?

Then again, it must be remembered that it was a novice dev team pressured by deadlines. What they did achieve on a technical level is somewhat impressive.
