Nav Map Crashing?

Anyone else have random crashes in the nav map?

It is driving me crazy as to what might cause this. Could it be all the new towns and ports displayed on the map when zoomed out?

BTW, what file controls the zoom levels for text displayed on the Nav Map? That might help, unless it's something confined to my computer or other game settings.

I had this happen to me two times. In both cases I was bored waiting for my IXC to cross the Atlantic. I zoomed out a little and started looking around to see which ports and cities that Germany controlled in Russia (I use RUb and SH3 Commander v.1.43). Then the game CTD. I didn't have this happen prior to those mods, but I also didn't have any reason to be looking over there before they started adding in more ports and cities than were included in the stock game.

The game will crash if you scroll over to Russia. At first we thought it was something to do with the new ports in RUB-Ops but after extensive testing we discovered it is somethinng in the game itself and happens with the stock 1.0 version as well. :(

You have the answer there Rudewarrior - until we added some ports in Russia there was no reason to look at that part of the map so it never got noticed.

Well, after looking at all this new information, I loaded up the stock game and went searching.....

After going past the area around the AO grid , nothing except a few stutters. As soon as I went back towards AO and just before it loaded the individual grid numbers, WHAM! But instead of dumping me to the desktop, it gave me this:

I have the game patched to 1.4b of course, also runing must have mods like GWX 3.0 + SH3 cmdr. Additional mods has no impact on CTD. Crashes happen even when there is no Activated mods in JSGME. And I'm experiencing Nav map related CTDs with my second rig now.. Odd isn't it ?

Yep it is,

Try out the German Names Nav Map, the optional that comes with GWX
if you are using Eng map names.

I am using the German Map and it doesn't do that!
