Work has begun on the long awaited expansion pack to Silent Hunter III.

The expansion pack will focus on a new direction for the game. Basing itself on your last played mission, you will take command of your Uboat which is trapped in a time portal, and transported to the early age of British conquest of the 18th Century.

Players will find themselves battling Lord Nelsons Victory, and Captain Cooks Endevour among other ships of the line. I have it on good authority that the expansion pack will be called 'SHIII: After the war'. Basically you get to control and influence the lives of your ex crew members from the summer of '45 onwards. You help them get work in post war germany, get dates with girls and start a family, build houses, make friends etc. The game will feature 3rd person perspectives and fully 3D environments.
