My first TCx1 patrol, war diary.
Boat: U-48
Type: VII/B Base: St. Nazaire Patrol start: October 3, 1940 0814hrs Destination: GRID BF28&25 Okay, this is my first TCx1 patrol! I play on 100% realism and if I die, then it`s over. I`m not a good story teller, so most of this is just plain war diary entries. I`ll start on a new job on monday, so this will be updated slowly. October 3 0814hrs - Depart from St. Nazaire, winds at 5m/s, clear skies. Ahead standard. 0845hrs - Submerged to PD to check the pipes for leaks. 0901hrs - Surfaced, no leaks detected. 1042hrs - Shift change in engineroom. (I`ve made two shifts for engineroom by writing the names of the crew members down and when someone is tired, I change shifts.) Quote:
1216hrs - Shift change. 1238hrs - Submerge for 1 hour, ahead one-third, depth 20 meters. 1330hrs - Surfaced and changed shifts. (To be continued) Someone please tell me what to change in the basic.cfg to have my crew be able to work for 6-8hours?? |
And the $100000 dollar question is:
How come you hit Enter accidentally, when you're not supposed to touch TC+? |
:o
|
I accidentally pressed it when I pushed the 'del' to remove the HUD. :)
Can I have the $100000 dollars now? :D |

How about using the whole mod for your patrol? http://beerymod.com/RUb1.43.7z You won´t have that enter key issue as well along with other nice additions... |

This virtually eliminates accidental torpedo firings: In the file SilentHunterIII\data\cfg\commands_en.cfg: Under "[Cmd 313]", add a letter "c" between the two commas. It should look like this afterwards: Code:
[Cmd313] |

@SawDust, thanks! And about the RuB; I dont use mods that affect the gameplay, only sound & graphic mods. So, I`m still waiting answer to the crew fatique question. |
it's in the data/cfg/basic.cfg look for these entrys
[FATIGUE_COEF] ;comp 0 RegularFactor00=0.001 SpecificFactor00=0.004 BadWeather0=0.002 ;comp1 RegularFactor10=0.001 RegularFactor11=0.001 SpecificFactor10=0.001 SpecificFactor11=0.002 BadWeather1=0.002 ;comp2 RegularFactor20=0.001 RegularFactor21=0.001 SpecificFactor20=0.001 SpecificFactor21=0.002 BadWeather2=0.002 ;comp3 RegularFactor30=0.001 RegularFactor31=0.001 SpecificFactor30=0.004 SpecificFactor31=0.001 BadWeather3=0.002 ;comp4 RegularFactor40=0.001 RegularFactor41=0.001 SpecificFactor40=0.001 SpecificFactor41=0.004 BadWeather4=0.002 ;comp5 RegularFactor50=0.001 RegularFactor51=0.001 SpecificFactor50=0.003 SpecificFactor51=0.004 BadWeather5=0.002 ;comp6 SpecificFactor60=-0.3 SpecificFactor61=-0.3 ;comp7 SpecificFactor70=-0.3 SpecificFactor71=-0.3 ;comp8 RegularFactor80=0.001 RegularFactor81=0.001 SpecificFactor80=0.003 SpecificFactor81=0.004 BadWeather8=0.002 ;comp9 RegularFactor90=0.001 SpecificFactor90=0.005 BadWeather9=0.002 ;comp10 RegularFactor100=0.001 SpecificFactor100=0.004 BadWeather10=0.002 ;comp 11 RegularFactor110=0.001 RegularFactor111=0.001 SpecificFactor110=0.001 SpecificFactor111=0.001 BadWeather11=0.002 comp (compartment) 6 and 7 are the rest quarters... i'm using the above entrys as an experiment all ive done is add a nought to the other compartments fatigue rates this slows dramatically the rate at which the crew tire-- and increased the recovery rate in the rest rooms ;comp6 SpecificFactor60=-0.3 SpecificFactor61=-0.3 ;comp7 SpecificFactor70=-0.3 SpecificFactor71=-0.3 ;comp8 these are minus figures..to reduce fatigue over time-- this is a purely personal approach that probably needs tweaking to add a little more fatigue-- but it's all in these entrys so you can experiment to find the levels you find the most appropiate |
