what is the deal with making sh3 movies

there have been a few more movies made lately. Im wondering what is the point!

And is there a way some one could split them up into part 1 part 2 part 3 ect. im a crappy dial up user and dont have time to DL a huge file :down: :down: :down:

Sorry, that's one of the oddest/most blunt questions I've heard.

Does there have to be a point? It's kind of like playing the game itself, except you get to be a bit more creative and share what comes out with others, should they be interested. Mind you, it's rare for a movie maker to make these things for something other than their own enjoyment first and foremost.

As for splitting up... possible, but then, where to host?
I'd be glad to split mine, and even split and upload others for you, if there's webspace available which would be convenient for slow connections to download from. :up:

I'm with CCIP on this. That is pretty blunt.

Why we make movies? Whats the point? Because we can?! or at least we wanted to take the time and try. For me it started as a lets see what I can come up with, then it really became a labor of fun. A puzzle in my imagination to see what I could do using only SHIII, FRAPS, my movie editor software and of course my imagination. I know that I will never make Das Boot or Run Silent Run Deep but I can have fun seeing what I can do using the SHIII game engine. And the movies I have seen from other gamers/directors are pretty damn impressive and I thank them for sharring thier very hard labor of love with the rest of us!

There is just no practical way of dividing a 55meg movie (or a 300+ meg movie) in to 2 or 3 meg parts. It just isn't going to happen, You can do what I did when I used dial up, Start the down load before you go to bed and it should be done when you get up or when you get home from work or school.

Ok....I'm off my soap box.

The movie-makers don't conceal what they've done -
If you think movies are a complete waste of time, and/or you only have dial up...
Don't download them.

I, on the other hand, love the movies, applaud the creativity, skill and generousity required to both create and share them and would love to see more. I was happy to wait 30 minutes to download, 'The Last Entry' and loved every second.

P.S. Your question was blunt to the point of rudeness, but I'll be kind enough to assume that you don't use English as your first language.

Why doesn't everybody treat everybody else in the same manner that they like would to be treated themselves?

Otherwise I may have to treat some people in a manner that nobody likes to be treated.

Your original post sounded disrespectful to movie makers like myself. Just because you are so proud of being blunt, it doesn't mean you will get some sort of help on this subject. When I read 'requests' like that, no way I'll even bother to split a movie for you. :nope:

This is from the same category of when someone posts a full mod and there is a comment that says 'who needs this'. Yes, it is rude.
