Scramble !!

'' I wont go back. '' ......but I can look.

PC Pilot (Sep/Oct) features Falcon 4.0 Allied Force.
Not the place here to droole but one feature caught my eye and reminded me of the pulse racing feature of "Scramble

'' Enemy aircraft inbound !!''

What a delight a similar feature would be in DW, instead perhaps, of the rather limp 'Quick Missions'

The Alarm bell Sounds - Emergencey !!

'' Slavas rounding headland "
'' Kilos infiltrating convoy ''
etc. Sure you can think of dozens of situations.

Realism and adrenalin rush meet.

Many of us have RL time constraints and need the quick fix.

Wonder if there is any demand for this ? Designer/s might respond. :hmm:

I was just about to bring up this topic. Thanks to your initiation. Of course, I am definitely the most delighted to have this feature around within DW.

You mentioned about Falcon 4.0 series as you did, if I may return something along the line. Again, many years ago, the same time when Sub Command came out I believe, Jane's Combat Simulation released one of its most popular hard-core Flight Simulations - F-15. It was perhaps the only one at the time which offers more than enough in-game radio messages. The one which I love most, even up to this day, is like

"Be advised, new threats airbourne at bearing two-five-five, ceiling two thousand, hot"

You know, that sort of atmosphere so generated was really cool. Instantly, you feel like in the middle a battle and you get a hard-on right away.

My wishful thinking is the implementation of EAM. I know this is a greedy wish though, because I am not sure if Sonalyst will have any schedule and time frame for this add-on. Besides, DW is quite solid in its state at the moment with only a few small glitch.

But then, if Sonalyst would have an agenda for some new features in the future, I would definitely like to see EAM implementation, and that "scramble" kind of warning message. In fact, this "scramble" messaging mechanism is most suitable to Jane's Fleet Command, which I think is still a very good time-killer. Unfortunately, nobody likes going online. I also wish, that one day, DW will have that bots-full of working environment like Silent Hunter III.

Anyway, I am happy with DW as it is right now.
