Ohh, seems like someone had scratched a paper sheet sky.

Type941 08-27-05 04:39 PM

shoot it. :88)

can this be due to some patch version of the game?

martes86 08-27-05 04:57 PM

I don't think so. Looks more like a graphics problem. Indeed, it's a graphic problem. :D

Maximus3070 08-27-05 05:07 PM

Ohhh yay someone else with the same problem thought it was just me :)

Ula Jolly 08-27-05 05:11 PM

If you met that one in the middle of the night, not knowing it was a graphic glitch... it'd be like the Titanic heading STRAIGHT at your sub! I'd let out a very high-pitched scream of terror and surprise!! :rotfl:

I have the "pox" also...had it from day one right out of the box. It's been with me through all the patches too. I just live with it. :nope:

Kaleun_Thomsen 08-27-05 05:38 PM

Previously I didnt have this problem so there must be some sort of solution I assume. :-?

martes86 08-27-05 06:00 PM

Maybe it's just that your card is one of the older models. With a 9550 works great. :D

I don't know what the heck that thing is, but it's getting closer!

Muntjak 08-27-05 10:17 PM

I sometimes have simmilar errors on my radeon 9100 but they don't have shadow on water ;-) It's usualy a problem with sky - sometimes small part of it changes to black for a short part of second. The error always occures in the center of the view and only when using the bridge view (not uzo)

Justin Prince 08-27-05 10:18 PM

Its the Space Amoeba from Star Trek :rotfl:

"Captain... the stars are gone!"

Exactly, just the bridge, FLAK and cannon view.

Could be your graphcs card overheating causeing artifacting.

Check to see if your Fan is clear of dust, and take the side of your case off for a while when playing to check the circulation.

It actually casts a reflection onto the water, I don't think an overheating graphics card would cause something like that?
Weird, might just be a graphic glitch, have you tried with other display drivers? :hmm:
