How do you add emblem to sub

As the topic asks, "How do you add an emblem to the sub please?"

I've had a look but can't seem to see how it is done, I did a search and found a question on adding more emblems but adding them to subs was not there.

After you get your TGA done the way you want, simply place it in Program Files/Ubisoft/SilentHunterIII/data/Emblems/SubEmblems

I hope that helps. :)

I already added the emblem to the folder but thanks Syxx, I've asked the question again on the topic posted above.

Do you mean actually adding them to the sub in-game? All you have to do is go to the loadout screen where you add torpedoes and equipment and stuff. Go over to the Other category, and if you performed well enough, you may get the ability to add an emblem. Usually, the first emblems you can use are the flotilla ones. Later one you can choose your own.

So I have to perform well, the problem is I am messing around with a British sub, although not realistic I was trying to add an embelm of my own.

I say perform well, because it has been my experience that if I don't do so well I don't get to add emblems. For instance, in my IID campaign, I was barely ever offered the chance to add an emblem. I guess it was because since the IID has only five fish, I was only averaging about 10,000-15,000 tons a patrol. If I had a larger sub (ie - more tonnage sunk), I would probably be offered more emblems.

If you want your emblem right away, go into your SH3 folder in My Documents and under your current career name open the file Careers with notepad and scroll down to this line E01=NULL and change it to E01=data/Emblems/SubEmblems/(the name of your emblem here).tga and save. Do the same thing in the file Careers_0 and you will have your emblem on your sub right away.

Thanks HW3,

That is the problem, I'm not in any career at the moment, plus I'm a British sub, it's no big deal but I just wanted to try it out to see what it looked like.
