Very cool 2019
Can you tell me what material you use to get that shine coming off the corners. Also I like the CIWS. I'll be borrowing them for any other Russian model I make if you don't mind. |
Thanks,
The shine coming of the corners is called color bleeding and is calculated during the renderer, you can use any material but you will need 'Brazil r/s' to let it render. It's actually a Global Illumination render which takes a lot of time, but looks nice ;) No problems about the masts, you can use them they have also a sepperated texture map so you wont have to re-skin them. |
Cool.

Thats crazy, when i first saw the screenshot i thought it was of a scale model you had built.
Nice work indeed  |
:o Fantastic.

Thanks Fish and Bellman ;)

looks really interesting, but it look like it has some materials, if I'm right, it won't work in DW... but I like it
|
Thanks!
how do you mean materials? |
these specular lights in the corners... they seem to be 3dsmax materials, not only bitmap textures... :know:

Specular in the corners? Yes that's part of the shading, you need materials to being able to aply a texture, you know that a bitmap is just only a part of the material. Notice that on DW models there is also shading which comes from the material. Although i dunno if my shading settings will be used or overriden by pre-defined shaders in the engine. BTW, can somebody tell me if DW is supporting bump maps? cose no matter how nice you paint there are lots of detials that look too flat when you look at the angle of specular. |
thanks for the info anyway, I haven't seen any bump maps in DW, I don't think they are supported
