So let me get this straight... and I think I've been following along well....
This was the ship that brought your father to Australia in 1952? Also, your father was a member of the nazi party? Very interesting. Those are great photographs by the way! Thank you for sharing this with us all. |
No No my Father wasn't a Nazi............anyhow forget it .........thats a long forgotten story..... and you peoples are welcome.

I wish the ships today would be as good looking as those...

Those are awesome.

Thank you Damo
Very nice scans and contribution. They just don't have the classic lines like that anymore do they; same with cars and planes. Regards, |

Damo1977,
Klattu and Gort are from the early Si-Fi Movie "The Day the Earth Stood Still". Gort was the Robot that could have destroyed the Earth when attacked. Robots were used as a "peace keeping force" in space. Any problems and the Robots showed up and destroyed the agressor. Klattu was the "Human" alien that showed up with Gort to tell the Earth NOT to bring their war's into space or they would be destroyed. The movie became a Si-Fi "classic" and has an almost cult following now. |
Well excuuuuuuuuussssssssseeeeeee me. I don't watch movies made before sound was invented....
On a serious note actually never got around to seeing it, ......It just looks to scary :rotfl: |
Regarding "I WANT TO BELIEVE" and the TV show "The X-Files".... I'm surprized they never had a show dealing with a sunken U-Boat and "secret cargo" or something like that.
