where is morzh?
 

Morzh or K419 pacific fleet akula I improved class project 971U is missing from DW im wondering where she is.

ive asked numerous times but nothing

dont say shes been paid off becuase the sub is not even 10 years old :D

K419 Morzh name has been changed by the Russians. Isn't it now K419 Kuzbass? And it is represented in DW.

i know morzh is still around even if they did change the name its doubtful that they will change pennants only 3 cases where the russians have

morzh is only about 8 years old so she cant have paid off

K419 is now Kuzbass according to USNI reference. I don't know where they got this info. And K419 was commissioned in 1992, so that would make it 13 years old. But K419 is represented in DW as Project 971, not 971U. I think that's not correct, though. I believe, by every source I've recently seen that K419 is an Akula-I Improved. But I can't verify the name change other than what is reported by the USNI database.

im very very sure that her name has not changed out of intrest does the USNI tell you what fleet she is in ?

The USNI reference is in DW. It does not show which fleet, but in every reference I've read, K419 is part of the Pacific Fleet.

Is there anyone else here that can confirm or deny that K419's name has been changed from Morzh to Kuzbass? Now I'm :hmm:
