1.4b install help...
 

Hi all,


I've searched the forums for this and found a few posts on the topic but most suggested to reinstall the game.

I have been playing SH3 vanilla for a while and figured it was high time to install 1.4b and RuB... So I go ahead and try to install the 1.4 patch but says it cant due to "de_menu.txt is an unknown version".

Was wondering if there was a better fix other than reinsatlling the game :cool:

Somehow I doubt it, but wanted to check if anybody has a better fix

Did you install RUB before installing the 1.4 patch? If you modded the game any, you have to return it to it's original state before install official updates.

Most likely you have some mods conflicting.

Although you did say you were playing an un modified version.

Did you make certain you got the correct version of 1.4b. There are 4 different versions you know. :-?

The only certain way to patch up is from a clean install.

Yeah I do know you have to install 1.4 before RUB. What version of 1.4 are there and which one do I install? :doh:
