Excellent! Thanks for this.

Have you thought about adding the bit Wulfman suggested about taking the Hurricane's bombs away? All that Hurricanes should do in 1939-40 is strafe your bridge. They didn't carry bombs until 1941.

Wulfmann 07-27-05 12:36 PM

Actually they would never have carried bombs on sea patrols. The ones that did carry them were for ground support in North Africa and later in Burma.
I removed them altogether. My choice not saying what other may choose as there should be some coastal command planes to replace them. However, few were actaully used early and since the Cats and Suds take the big role later it, IMO, works out historically.

Thanks for the mod.

The sim files are the stock or Jace's airpower files?

This mod changes others things than the max velocity?

Greetings,

Rubini.

Rubini,

I have used from Jace's airpower mod - did not change anything from his mod (expect speed obviously)

I have used Wulfmanns advise and decreased the speed by about 10% for the Hurri. Hopefully that was the right outcome.

Shelton.

How does it play out? Is there a noticable difference between detection time and the aircraft attacking and is it a lot?

Rubini 07-27-05 05:32 PM

sdcruz,

Is't possible to do this for the stock sim files too?

Thanks,

Rubini.

Duke of Earl 07-27-05 05:33 PM

@sdcruz... whew, I'm glad you said that... :yep: ...

I've been layin off using this low-speed mod because of possible conflict with the Airpower mod... did not want to give up the reduced ranges and aircraft sorties

Rubini

Yes I can do this for the stock sim mod as well - wont be able for about till the weekend.

Do you play with the stock sim?

Regards
Shelton.

sdcruz 07-27-05 06:24 PM

Egan

Best answer would be to try it out - early indications on my testing seems to give you more realistic reaction times, esp when your at 256, 512 TC

Hope people provide feedback!

Shelton.

sdcruz,

I would like to have your stock mod because for the traffic standalone version (not RUb) I use the late war air attacks on ports and this is not compatible with the B24's sim file of Jace's Airpower (about dive bomb behaviour). So I think that it's only necessary for B24's sim file. I expect that soon we will have a clone airplanes, so, this will be not a problem in near future. ;)

I'm awaiting. Thanks again,

Rubini.

Hi Rubini

So you want the B24 one - the very original that came with the sim - if so then I can do it tonight and send it to you - I am in australia.

Regards
Shelton.

Rubini 07-27-05 08:27 PM

Yes, the original one but mod by you. :know:

Rubini.

sdcruz 07-28-05 02:27 AM

Rubini,

Here is the mod of the B24 from the *stock* game file. I have reduced the speed to 390Km/h.

Let me know if you notice the difference.

Regards
Shelton.

Wulfmann,

What file and strings did you look at to take the bombs away from the Hurri?

Thanks
Shelton.
