W T F does the 'M' mean? :hmm: |
meters?
|
Monkey? ;)

I would guess that it's in meters. The Akula displays in meters. I don't know about the American subs... What platform did that come out of?

Oh, I know what that is. It's the floating wire for the Kilo.
|
its meters juding the cream back ground from the kilo
|
Ok Meters make sense but it seems strange that it would be placed there and not next to the length read out, or there at all since I thnk the Kilo is the only one to have that mark.
|
It does seem odd that Russian crewmen would need a reminder that they are working with the metric system. Do the torpedos have a sign that reads 'Insert this side first'?
In reality, I am sure that it exists to remind the player that he is no longer working with feet. |
i think that is what it is for because some of us who switch between american and russian subs are easily confused most of the time
|
But the point stands, why isn't it then next to the length readout? Also, and I'm just a crazy Canadian, but meters is always indicated with a lower case "m" as opposed to a capital "M".
I believe it stands for "Must crush Capitalism", but hey, what do I know. |
