Hi all,
Recently had a hard drive crash and lost everything. You know you really love this game when that's the only thing you're sorry you lost. Anyway, I'm in the process of modding everything back and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction for getting the 4.1 version of finiteless' excellent atmospheric sound mod. I only see the 3.0 version at the uboat.realsimulation.com site, which was extremely good, but the 4.1 had some refinements I really need. And the link on this thread appears not work anymore. Any help is appreciated and thanks for reading.

ooops...I was not aware a build 4.1 is out: If anyone has it, please upload it to my server - I'd gladly host it :)

edit: re-reading the thread I feel really dumb...it seems I had the 4.1 already on the server...but...where the heck is it? :D :damn:

Not your fault, sir. You've done a tremendous service to this community by providing access to all the excellent mods that have been created. I find it amazing that you keep up with everything you have. I appreciate your response and, hopefully, finiteless might take notice and provide the file. Thanks again.

Are in this mod only english Sounds or german too ?

this package contains only atmospheric and sound effects, may in just great quality, no speeches inside.

is it just me, that most of this great sounds are somewhat more or less distorted ?
i see, they are all at 0db, but somehow they sound distorted at my pc.
i already tried lowering them to -1db or -2db. no effect.
i tried lowering my pc's wave and overall volume. still the same.
i dunno, since i have no distorted sound with normal mp3s/wavs leveled at 0db.

any ideas ?

"sh3" login have to write in lowercase ;)
SH3 in upcase doesn't work.

The new Hull creek sound are great, but they´re in need
of noise reduction.
Sounds like a tape recording without dolby.
