I try to change my U-boot number (first time) and I do exactly what Berry wrote.........and this method don't work for me. Newest patch and only few graphic mods here, and, by the way - I don't want to use SH3 Commander :-) I'm back in port after first patrol, exit the game, than I change number in these 3 files (and I save it of course) and number is still the same as before when I load "in base after mission" save. Please, what can be wrong ? I'm not native english :-) Best Regards Stary Wuj |
Wuj, get and install SHIII Commander 2.3 and you can change your U-boat number that way...easy to do.... before you start a career or patrol. Just make sure you are IN port and NOT on a patrol when you do the install. Same goes with mods.... install only while IN port.
SHIII Commander is great and you won't hurt your game. It'll keep track of yours and men's careers for you. Plus you can use no fatigue if you want and change how time skip works plus other stuff. I didn't want the Commander first time I saw it but now I won't play with out it. Try it and if you don't like it just get rid of it. ;) |

Thank You GT182, but I prefer "not many mods" mod :-)
And, Berry method looks so simple, I'm experienced player and few operating systems user, just courious...... why this method don't work for me ? Strange. :hmm: Mayby You are right :-) Stary Wuj - still courious :-) |
