ummm help?

I don't see where you're getting these extended digits. The inside of my box has only a line of 9 digits and under it is the same 9 repeated followed by a dash and 3 letters. What the hell kind of serial number is this? I typed the first line, nothing, typed it with the second, nothing, added the 3 at the end, nothing. Just the same incorrect key message. I don't see a key on any of the documentation. Am I stupid or did they not include the freakin key?
