does anyone know if the new knight cross mod has fixed the type viic/41 so it gives deeper like in its true historical form?

Yes. The Type VIIC/41 hull model is included in your optional MODS folder.
It is listed as "GWX - KC Player Type VIIC-41"

All you need to do is to enable it via JSGME, which is also included in GWX - KC.

It is intended that you use it on the honor system at a time in the simulator when you would rightfully have access to the Type VIIC/41.

I modified the crush depth to better reflect Type VIIC/41 real life capabilities.
