The question of air recon

I'm new to playing SH5 TWOS. Everything is great, but I have a question that I couldn't find an answer to. Air reconnaissance reports targets using some sort of custom coordinate system just from numbers. I would like to know what that system is and how to use it.

Unfortunately that's not it. I know about the Kriegsmarine system. If air recon said something like “AF 3587” I wouldn't have any questions. But they designate sectors by numbers only, like “0850 square 5634.” I get that 5634 is part of the grid, but what does 0850 mean?

I looked up "German air reconnaisance grid code" and found nothing, zip, nada...my poor guess is: the the game already knows your two-letter grid (AG, AF etc) location; and are just providing the subgrid numbers in that square...??:hmmm::timeout: The leftside "# 0850"(ie: 8:50 AM in military time)in your pic is the time of BdU's message reception on your logsheet imho?

Yeah, maybe I didn't think of that. Thanks for help, I'll check it out
