Ship mods like Bismarck not in ATO

I just installed the Bismarck mod to a fresh install via JSGME. Runs okay can't wait to try more of the ship mods. My question is how to get them to run in the ATO where they belong, say in Dark Waters for the Bismarck. I can't simply add the mod after Dark Waters I presume, it would still have the starting points in the pacific/indian oceans right if it worked at all?

Depends upon the Playable Bismarck you are using and how it is built... You might have to change "sides" though, which can be a pinch difficult. But Dark Waters is more Atlantic-centric, ala SH3, and is based upon lurker_hlb3's Operation Monsun mod originally.

I've got the one for Sh4V1.5 from the thread directly below last page. It's made for a fresh install of 1.5
Is there another prefered Bismarck made for the ATO type mods? I'm about to give this one a try on a fresh Dark Waters installation but I'm betting it will default to the indian/pacific if it works at all.

whoever made the Bismarck playable would have to build/edit starting points in Flotillas.upc. Check out that file for entry points. or CareerStart.upc.

I looked at the copy of the mod I have in my collection, and the v1.2 of the mod is indeed meant for Stock SH4 v1.5 which will put you in the Far East in 1943. Bismarck1011 also made an Admiral Scheer for OpMonsun, and that should be around somewhere. It might follow a more "historical" trail for the ship... You could use that mod to copy the Bismarck itself into the mod and have them both. The technique used to get playable ships is to make them "submarines" that can't dive, unless you manage to get a bunch of holes punched into them... :D

Yeah, I took on a British task force off the coast of Australia with a couple King George BB's in it and I became a submarine ONCE! :) Thanks i'll look around for that one.
