Friends & Sub Sim

I occasionally get 'friends' invites. and reply to none.

I am not being a stand alone idiot and I do respect everyone in here BUT

I have a lot to do in my life (incl cancer treatment) and do not need official friends as I am friends with everyone in here but please, dont ask. :yeah:

I'm sure Red didn't mean anything negative or disrespectful in his thread. Maybe he is just clarifying why he doesn't respond to " friend " invitations. As Red said, he is dealing with Cancer Issues.

Cancer doesn't just have an impact on one's physical health but also their respective mental heath as well. Every cancer is different as are the unfortunate people they afflict as well as the various treatments they are receiving. There are just too many variables to go into in this post. It can be a rough road for anyone going through Cancer. I have seen all of this first hand with people going through Cancer Treatments.

No one here has any obligations or responsibilities to engage with anyone. Red has already said he is friends with many here. I think we can all respect the fact that maybe Red just doesn't want to get close to anyone in the event things go south with his medical situation.

The bottom line is, don't judge Red too harshly. Give Red some space and allow him the Dignity and Grace to deal with his Medical Issues and don't take it personally if Red wants to maintain some distance as he battles his Illness. :yep:

That being said, good luck with your treatments and situation, Red. :yep:

^ I also see this sentence as important

"as I am friends with everyone in here"

It goes for everyone in here we are friends with each others.

Indeed! I took as 'britjest" humor 'twixt a F**khall Copse nuttcase and his Sutton Coldfield buddy...espcially with the ":haha:" at the end of the sentence.:shucks::O:

It's known as tongue in cheek humour, we Brits are famous for it.

Well spotted Aktungbby :salute:

I took it that way too. :haha: Moonlight didn't mean anything offensive either. :yep:

With our other Subsim member Clay also battling Cancer, I just wanted to wish Red all the best.

Thanks all of you for your wishes. All that I meant was please dont send me requests for the friendship button or whatever. I seem unable to categorise it. As far as I am concerned you are ALL friends, whether its reciprocated (wow, a big word) is up to the individual :yeah:

Wishing you luck with your treatments Red. I am 3 years clear from my prostate cancer radiation treatments, fingers crossed I stay clear. :Kaleun_Thumbs_Up:

Wouldn't it be simpler to just hit refuse when you get the invite?

Completely agree, but if nobody asked nobody gets refused, if that makes sense. I wish I hadnt raised the damn topic. What start off as a simple request got screwed up along the way. IF any mods, admin want to delete whole thread, I'm happy:doh:
