KSDII Compass Errors
G'day Subsim,
Haven't post on the forum for a long time, and I'm back playing with SH4, Ive downloaded the latest KSDII addon mod. Why is the compass dial and the compass help is upside down, when ZERO is supposed to be at the top of the screen facing North instead of showing ZERO facing South at the bottom of the screen, because, this is a bug error see attachment. Not a bug. The German compass repeaters had it this way because you could place an attack disk attachment with pointers on it and use it like an attack disk to read relative bearing. And for that, you needed 180 at the top.

Where can I find details about this, and how to fully understand them. Cheers :salute: |
Here is a picture of the original from the attack disk manual. Inside the top cover there you can see the piece that can be placed on top of the compass repeater. The round disc there with the markings is the target course disc with AOB marks just like on the attack disc. There is also a moveable bearing arm as well as an attack course arm, just like on the attack disc itself.
So this effectively turns the compass repeater into an attack disc. https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/pic...ictureid=13434 Here a closeup of a real compass repeater on a boat - 180 on top: https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/pic...ictureid=13435 |

Sh#t! now I understand why |
Derstosstrupp is there a guide or information on how to use the attack disc properly when using the KSDII mod, because, I'm having some issue planning my attack.

Click the link in my signature to my YouTube channel, I’ve got a slide rule targeting series on there that goes through the use of the disc, using SH5, but it should be the same functionality as KSD.
