mystery mod

OK look at the picture, if I did it right. See the strange heads up display? This is supposed to be the onealex mod but something put in these changes. Can anybody tell me what? And if I can remove it? Other wise I need to delete and install fresh. The way it intrudes on the map and screen is very annoying.

Eh?

You mean the heading, speed and depth gauges on the left? This is Widescreen MaGUI, which I use because I have an old 1366x768 display. Doesn't OneAlex ship with a 1920x1080 GUI by default? The dials are supposed to work like that. Click on the little unmarked button near the bottom left next to SF and they should go away. You get used to it, there's swings and roundabouts for each of these UI mods.

Whilst on the subject what is the SF button supposed to do? For me it just makes the periscope view look slightly funny...

I would much prefer them down below where they don't interfere with the view.
Also the navigation map is not widescreen like it should be with Onealex mod. I need to review what is in the JSGME list.

wrong UI mod

See my edited post above. I think Onealex ships with a couple of alternative UI mods to cater for different screens. You have the 1366x768 version, which is more commonly used with NYGM. If you go for the other one with the wider map your monitor has to be able to support 1920x1080 resolution and it may look stretched out if your monitor aspect ratio isn't right for it.

Hey Guy"s greeting
The Onealex mod has an original 1920x1080 interface...This is the famous Ahnenerbe mod lightened by Alex as well as the red light in the attack scope... which I created at the time..
there is an option in the list of mods for 1366x768 screen holders
There is also the working CapZap1970-ARB WideGUI 1920x1080 v0.4 Onealex V8
so make your choice according to your display equipment.:hmmm:

I thought I had made a reply to this and to Hooston's comment. But maybe I didn't post it. Yes, it looks like the widescreen mod for the 1366 x 768 was involved. That installation of OneAlex was a bit of a mod soup it appears. When I looked in JSGME the widescreen mod was not listed. But when I looked in the Instlogs folder, it was there. So I made an attempt to get things back in sync and activated the widescreen mod, then removed it again. Then it was gone from the active Mods and the display was good again. And back to the default for the OneAlex, a nice widescreen display for 1920x1080 with the HUD back in the lower right.
