Time compression on contact icon in map setting

Hi All I posted this in the editor forum by mistake!

Old Von Hally here , good to see SH3 is still as loved as when I was getting my sea legs back in the day

New pc , had a craving to set up SH3 again and loving it !

I'm running gwxgold with sh3 commander. My question and I've probably been told before , but I'm auld...is is there a way to stop time compression when a grey map contact shows on the main map. I can set it to real time when a message etc comes in but I'm sick of looking up at the screen to see a possible contact 30k away or whatever there, but as I'm on 1026 speed it's been 7hours long gone by the time I've looked up from reading or whatever if you get what I mean. Same with possible convoys , I'm sometimes 12 hours too late by the time I see it . Is there a way to go to real time when a contact shows 🤔

Also I can't seem to turn off the radar without physically removing the operator from his post ?

Anyway good to see new blood falling in love with this amazing thing we've all created!

Hi von hally!!,
Great to see you around again and thanks for the must have campaign messages mod you made all those years ago.

To answer you question; yes and no. In the SH3 commander time compression settings, set the "when receive radio report" option to what you want.
Sometimes that will help, sometimes not. No idea what determines which. There is no "for sure" way to do what you want as far as I know, it's been a problem since the game's release.

Well that's even more evidence that all the research and input was worth it!😁🙏👍

The real work was the gameplay and realism stuff the other Modders done to give us these supermods ...theres no way im anywhere near that level....God bless them
