Germany Gains most from the Euro

A DW News report (German news media) showing that Germany has gained the most prosperity since being in the Euro currency scheme, with France and Italy being some of the biggest losers.

All I am going to say and this is my own personal opinion is Thank goodness the UK was not part of the Euro (even though Major & Heseltine tried with he ERM debacle) and also that we are out of the EU.

Some of you really think just of all Italy and Greece would be better off now without joining the Eu, or using the Euro as currency? :rotfl2:

The same nonsense gets served ot the Germans since almost two decades to make them sit still while they keep the EU show running.

I just say Target-2. Germany has practically given European "partners" 2 trillion euros at its own expense, and the ECB has taken over these liabilities from the other countries. However, the ECB does not pay out Germany's claims, nor does it have to, because Germany was stupid enough to accept this construction. Or does anyone here seriously believe that Germany will ever see these funds again...?

Around 2 trillion. No joke. I've been saying that for years. The fairy tale of German financial exploitation of Europe was and is just that: a fairy tale. Or rather: resentment disguised as a fairy tale. They want to get even more out of Germany.

This whole Target mechanism is a criminal financial construction, the inventors should be persecuted.
