Steam Silent Hunter 5 error message
 

Hi,

Apologies if this has been mentioned before by anyone.

After a recent re-install of Silent Hunter 5 on Steam, I now get the attached pop up message and the game refuses to load.


Any ideas?

yes.

most probably, you are using the old/wrong game launcher because Ubi changed it post-release.

i am not a user of Steam as my copy is from DVD. that said, i do not launch the game from the Uplay icon, i launch it using sh5.exe.

using this method requests that you enter your registered email and password and then the game launches.

Steam may be different. Try it and see if it works.
