Help from community - permission request!
Hi everyone!
I'm asking help to this community in order to ask permission to mod this unit, Torpedo Boat Type1939 (or Elbing class): https://i.ibb.co/hCPYtRH/TB1939-Elbing.jpg From info i have, this was build for SH4 by SOM Group, and included into a mod (Soviet Waterways, or Battle of the Baltic if i well remember...) I really like to ask permission to use this as a base for a new mod\version of the ship, in order to join the Kriegsmarine fleet i'm reworking. I tried to contact somgrp@mail.ru and Red Roger's forum in latest weeks\months, but with no success. Is there anyone who know how to contact authors, if possible, and obtain permissions? I really care about being fair... :salute: https://mpierrela.files.wordpress.co...pg?w=700&h=413 Best regards, Vd |

It will be really nice to have the Ebling class in SH3 redone by magic hands of VonDos. :Kaleun_Thumbs_Up:
It was the most effective type of German destoyers/torpedoboats in WWII. Fighting in French waters in 1943-1944 they sunk HMS Charybdis (Dido-class light cruiser), HMCS Athabaskan (Tribal-class destroyer) HMS Limbourne (Hunt-class escort destroyer) and participated in sinking of HNoMS Svenner (ex-HMS Shark, S-class destroyer). Own losses in combats against enemy's ships in Biscay were 4 ships (T-25, T-26, T-27, T-29). I think this score is good taking into consideration total superiority of the Allies at sea. |

This ship could also serve as a mine layer. So, why not add this "option" ? Good luck ! https://i.imgur.com/swhXGS9.png |

Just a note, after some tests with little tugs, i choose to don't use WOW models, they're a little heavy and high poly, and reduce poly count could be the ruin of the model. I prefere instead SH3\4\5 medium poly, lighter models, with a lot of good textures instead. Well, this is just a matter of preferences, i guess ^__^ Best regards, Vd |

Yes, I understand perfectly and I agree with you. I'm just pointing you to good models in order that you adjust the shape and dimensions of the SH model of the type1939 Torpedoboat you are currently working on. Indeed, WoWS models are far too heavy for SH3. :salute: |
