Our NATO soldiers can't wait to meet Finnish girls, The seeds of our soldier's will bond us forever. And bring Finland out of the forest and in to it's future. Yes i'm sure Dowly is having a Melt Down, He loved Obama and the Democrats. Now that the American Democrats have brought their flavor of ice-cream to Finland, Dowly please tell us how does it taste. I think you just won the award for the weirdest/creepiest way of welcoming another nation for joining NATO.

Well maybe the Finnish ferret will show up. After years , you have to eat Crow. And oh by the way, What's so creepy about having a port of call call for US nuclear subs ? And our soldier's mingling with our new Compadres ? You do know the first mission of soldier's is to win the hearts of the local women. Right? And if any soldier thinks their fighting for the Democracy the United States has to offer. Get your ass to Ukraine and fight, not for money but President Zelinsky and the future that NATO offers. And i have to ? just what will the Nato countries inherent? What will i as a NATO citizen get ?? Will i get the spoils of war that my son died for, or a Chaplain at my front door?..While the leader of my country's son smokes bowls of crack and he and his father ****'s in my face.

You know... i used to post a lot more often here than i do these days, but its not for lack of visiting, because i do visit, but more so because my online life and my real life have shifted my energies in other directions BUT

i'll tell you this - what i always loved about SUBSIM (and still do) is that while our members come from Australia, Finland, Germany, New Zealand, Norway, the United States and many other places around the globe... I always got the feeling in interacting with all of my SUBSIM brethren - that while we are here on this forum, to some degree, we were less identified by our individual nationalities and more identified by our place in this world as Subsimmers!

When discussing one thing or another here with a member from Norway for example, i never thought of myself as an American and i never thought of them as Norwegian - i thought of us as subsimmers.

When i came here today, to visit the forums and lurk, I saw this thread title thinking there would be some neat thing that applies to the referenced member, or perhaps some sort of birthday or congratulatory message... instead, what i found was this drivel. Motivated by what i cant say.

Its posts like this that contribute nothing remotely constructive to the forum and certainly do not promote any degree of comradery in the group.

I'll have to agree with Neal... tasteless is what it is.

I have no Idea what precipitated this thread in the first place. Thankfully, I'm sure most American's don't buy into this drivel anyhow. Threads and posts like this goes against the very foundation and guiding principals of what Subsim is all about, primarily of which is respect for our world wide members.

In my time here, I have found that our our national identities are Important only because we get to see how other countries and their various people / citizens deal with various Issues and problems. Through our Interactions, I see that we are basically the same with much the same interests. Aside from all things aircraft and nautical related, Auto and Motorcycle themes and everything in between, I see that we all care about and cherish our respective families. This extends from Germany and the U.K and U.S and Australia, Denmark and Spain to Russia, Ukraine and Argentina and everywhere in between.

The last thing I want to see and I'm sure everyone else in Subsim is this forum be diminished into this senseless drivel as this thread was predicated on. Subsim has too great a reputation based on it's membership. My thoughts are, please leave the stupid bias's and prejudices at home, If you must have them at all. Either way, please don't bring them here.

Now I feel awful I filled up with Swedish Inga.

Reading his text a second time I must say he could have put it other way.
