Isn't searching through tons of signatures by hand a bit unrealistic

I know this is a major element of the game play in Cold Waters, but aren't the fire control computers on real subs capable of classifying a target signature pretty quickly?

Lol, I've wondered the same thing. Maybe in 1968 they couldn't but I bet they can today. Someone alert the Maslas Bros.:arrgh!:
