Change renown values to buy crew in barracks
 

Hello,
How do I change renown values to buy crew in barracks at cheaper price? Basic.cfg only allows me to modify renown values for upgrades.

Go to data/cfg/Main.cfg file and open with text editor. Scroll down to the Player section and edit

I use 25000 and lets me get the needed equipment, Uboat Captain's did not have to buy his upgrade equipment, it was issued as needed. I really do not use the built in Reknown system and have set up things geared to tonnage via NYGM.

I know that, but I was looking for a way to change renown to buy crew the same way you change renown values in basic.cfg to buy upgrades.

That should do it I would think. It should give you more than enough to enlist a 500+ renown sailor/officer and many more besides. Maybe I am not understanding what you are trying to accomplish. :hmmm:

Hey Fubar295, I didn't know your way :Kaleun_Thumbs_Up: I always adjusted my renoun this way :

Documents/ SH3(or your install's name)/ Data/ Cfg/ Careers/ (captian's name)/ Patrols_0cfg/ DeltaRenoun=500.00000 (the DeltaRenoun at the bottom of the list). You can adjust all numbers to the left of the decimal but not to the right of the decimal. I've never had issues, is your way better ?

Thanks for reminding me of using SH3 Commander.:yeah:

Not sure if your way is better. I have used that method fooling around with careers, but I think SH3 Commander grabs the info from SH3 Main.cfg file initially when setting up the new career, if I remember correctly. :o Old brains do get confused. :D Your way allows you to move that number up or down as desired if I am not mistaken. :)
