Stuart Margolin also played roles in a couple episodes of MASH and Magnum P.I in addition to other roles and Westerns. Stuart was also a gifted and sought after writer and director.

Noted mostly for his role as Angel in The Rockford Files, he reteamed with James Garner in his Maverick reboot as Philo Sandeen, self-claimed survivor of the Little Big Horn. One character in the show described him this way:

"If brains was leather, Philo Sandeen couldn't saddle a bug."
