Hello, so... my desktop is currently out of commission and I'm wondering: Will Silent Hunter 3 run on a laptop with Intel (R) HD graphics card? If so, that would be awesome.

Don't see, as to why it wouldn't.

Just make sure to NOT install in either of \Program files

Make sure to use jsgme, to activate any add in/on mods & make sure to either use a 4GB patch, or just simply use Large Adress Aware to assign the SH3.exe the ability to use 4 gigs of RAM access.

I just tried this yesterday... and I can run vanilla SH3 on this laptop with the specs it has, but not the GWX, it freezes when the loading bar reaches 90%, and I have to force close it with task manager. Something I'm doing wrong, perhaps?

I have a Huawei Mate Book D15 with Iris Graphics and GWX works with the 4 gig patch

Try the 4Gig patch gives SH3 4GIG virtutal memory instead of the default 2Gig download link below

That's what I've been doing, every time, the loading bar freezes at 90%, and never loads, stock Silent Hunter 3 works fine, but the GWX doesn't. Probably because of my graphics card, it's an Intel (R) HD Graphics graphics card. And my laptop has 4 gigs of ram. 3.79 of it is usable.

That's the kicker... I checked Intel's website, and they do not have the drivers for an Intel (R) HD Graphics graphics card. I'm at a loss, the card was last updated in 2012, what do I do?

whats issue with your Main Gaming Rig what componants down the crapper so to speak.

I'm thinking my mobo has died, it makes no noise whatsoever, and the light that means the PC is doing something does not blink anymore when the computer is booted up. But the issue is... stock SH3 runs fine on this laptop with an Intel(R) HD Graphics (core i5) graphics card, but if the GWX mod is installed, then the game no longer loads, it always freezes at 90% and never loads. I don't get it.

1. did you clean out your laptops registry with CC cleaner its free before reinstalling SH3 GWX and moving your career save from your documents before uninstalling SH3 GWX Commander Mod ect.
Also if you are using GWX and Commander Mod did you also install the GWX Commander Mod Config File so GWX and the Commander mod talk to each other so no CTD



2.Can you change over your motherboard over your self and what mother board would you need where do you live i live in UK in north east.

I just reinstalled the GWX mod, and then I ran the game with no mods enabled, and it seems to be working now, I'm thinking it's one of the mods that's causing the game to not load. Thanks for helping guys, much appreciated! I will be coming here again if I have future problems, you can count on that.
