He was a great actor and singer. I first remember him in the very early 1960s in "Fair Exchange" when he was a little kid.

But most fondly remember him as Sgt George Carter in "The Sweeney". What a great character role. Him and John Thaw...what a team !!!

He had a long and distinguished career on the stage and tv/film.

Glynn I wanted to post a great clip of them both singing a Jimmy Durante song from"The Sweeney"....but like a lot of great stuff that used to be on Youtube it's gone.

Carol was a big fan of "On the Up", I never got into it, it's a womans show I guess.

Here today, gone tomorrow.....an analogy for life.
