While I always loved and even anticipated his bowling, I was never really the 'fanboy' type, coupled with the fact that I stopped watching TV early on in my life, means I was never really swept up in the 'larger than life' aspect of his life.


I just really looked forward to watching/hearing him bowl, and witnessing the inevitable stratigic battle that would ensue when he came on to bowl.


Listening to his memorial service now, I'm only just appreciating how many people he helped in so many ways.

^ thank you for making me aware, sure was a great sportsman. Rest in peace.
