That came a little bit unexpected, didn't it?

I speculate: somebody wants the US to sign the nuclear deal with Iran although the US drifts away from doing so due to sanctions against Russia. Somebody shows what w/could happen if he does not get what he wants. Russia demands to benefit economically from any such deal.

Ukraine and Russia.
Now Iran, Iraq and USA.
Next Taiwan and China?

^ We have an interesting time ahead of us.

Didn't Iran support Russia ?

More or less the other way around, but: yes.

However, the attack there could also be some internal Shia-Sunni feud. Or sdomethign between ethnic groupos. Or clashes for influence between the Mullahs in Iran and Iraqi clerics. As I said: I speculated in the post above.

Thank you.
So a military response from US will not happen as I predict.

Who knows?

It depends on the results of their investigation. If they think it was indeed an attack on the embassy, some places in Iran have a hard time ahead of them.

Would Biden see this as a chance to show he can act and responds taking out the base....nah..

Jeff-Groves 03-12-22 07:44 PM

Ice Cream equipped Cruise Missiles probably.

According to the news here and there- these ballistic missile was against the American consulate.

Quote:

Iran has claimed responsibility for a missile barrage that struck early Sunday near a sprawling U.S. consulate complex in the northern Iraqi city of Irbil, saying it was retaliation for an Israeli strike in Syria that killed two members of its Revolutionary Guard.

There has been no confirmation of the launch from Iran, but Iranian state media cited sources as saying that "secret Israeli bases" were targeted.

The attack came six days after two senior officers in Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps were killed in a suspected Israeli air strike near the Syrian capital Damascus. The IRGC had vowed to make Israel "pay for this crime".

Iran once again this time Saudi Arabia says Iran is planning on attacking their Kingdom and some city in Iraq.

Quote:

Iran on Wednesday denied it was planning an attack on Saudi Arabia or Iraq amid civil unrest calling for the downfall of the Islamic Republic, insisting that it was trying to build constructive relations with its Middle East neighbors.

Trying to deflect attention from the civil unrest they are currently experiencing.

That's Saudi Arabia's problem. Since Iran has buddied up with Russia, Let Arabia run to Russia for help. Leave us ( the U.S ) out of it.
