Use one engine message
I get the use one engine message when I first start a campaign, Is this just a generic message or is there a way to use one engine to preserve fuel?

no, SH4 will not allow you to control which engines are used for propulsion and which are used for charging the batteries. you cannot control your engines for ship handling either. send your comments on that to Ubi. :03: that message-reference is PB's attempt at realism. the message-reference in the game is meant for you to run at less than Standard speed in order to conserve fuel or charge batteries or delay arrival at some location. |
In FotRSU, all such messages are for "atmosphere", as KaleunMarco says. Unfortunately, there is no way to comply with that. You can't even split the two shafts into forward and reverse for quicker turns, like the real boats could...

Or could it.... hmmm....

Know that certain... things (see aka files, & such) that have been... slave copied... then renamed... if it wouldn't be possible, to do the same with the... engines & the controls that control them... :hmmm: Thereby being able to do as they did back then... 1 doing turns forward & the other making turns in reverse. Possible key combos to fine tune, engine controls... Shift+ tilde key, all stop both engines Cntrl+ ~ through 9, controlling the port engine Alt+ ~ through 9, controlling the starboard one :Kaleun_Salute: M. M. |
