Be mindful
To a Western general public and common media, beside the Dalai Lama probably the most wellknown name of his kind. At age 95, he now died like he often taught: mindful and at peace, they say.
Bon Voyage. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-60092461 |
Thich Nhat Hanh was a wonderful teacher and author. He relayed the concepts of Buddhism in a simple, poetic and beautiful way ... wholly appropriate to the subject. He will be greatly missed indeed.
Incidentally, Nhat Hanh wrote the foreword to the copy of the Dhammapada from which I have been posting quotes to the "words of wisdom" thread. Following is an excerpt from that foreword: Quote:
Nhat Hanh was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1967 by none other than Martin Luther King, Jr. He was truly a jewel in the center of a lotus. |
