USS Croaker hit a whale

I have heard this happened but was not aware of details or forgot them, nor was I that it was the Croaker SS-246 on her first patrol lol. Just finished reading the report of the first war patrol. Quite the first patrol of the finale Gato Class boat to enter service. Poor whale.
