Sextant can't look up?
Hello, I'm using the Real Navigation mod with the enhaced sextant, in TWOS. I'm trying to use the sextant by openning it via the nav officer's icon, and then enabling the sextant. But I can barely look up, and that makes the sextant unusable. Is there anything I must do first to get it working?

to aim the sextant on a star after you clicked "enable sextant", right-click to make the mouse pointer disappear, then you can raise, lower and aim the sextant crosshair at the star you need. |

From your JSGME list, try leaving only the new sextant and see if the problem goes away. As a last resort, only reinstalling / full installing TWoS can help you. I've heard from players that they had conflicts when upgrading from previous versions and solved them with a full install. |
Your JSGME mod sequence is not giving me sextant problems for me. All you have to do, I'm afraid, is to do a full TWoS installation. I have never encountered a problem like this, so I can't help it anymore.:hmmm:

Reinstalled SH5 and installed TWOS, tried first with the new sextant Real Navigation and then with the older sextant, and none of those would let me look upwards more than 10º.

I had the same problem and solved it by reinstalling SH5 and TwoS not in C:/ProgrammFiles/... but in C:/Ubisoft/SH5 because of diminished rights in /PogramFiles
+ admit writing rights to SH5 and all Subfolders (explicitly advised in TwoS install manuall) Best Millian |
Managed to get it to work!
I reinstalled SH5, downloading it from Ubi Connect instead of using the CD. Came in 1.2 by default. Installed it in C:/Ubisoft/Silent Hunter 5. Then ran everything with admin rights, giving writing permission to the SH5 folder and the subfolders, applied the patch snapshot and chose my mods in JGSME. It works now! Turns out if you follow the instructions well, things work... Thanks for the help, everyone! |
