Marking friendly minefields on maps
For my TMO update have added friendly minefields (if there is such lol) at certain allied harbors, etc. Thinking would be a good idea to mark them on the nav map. Beyond my skill set lol anyone?

There is just no easy way to do that... "artwork" is needed in the Data Locations LocationMaps folder, and then "sizing" in a MapLocation on the map, with appropriate dating for it to show. We have tried "lines" on the map in FotRSU, but it looks like a kindergartner could do a better job of it... :har:

I figured. Hoping someone knows how and is willing lol. |

well, that ended that effort. |
... and doing the place names is WAY easier than doing "artwork" in the file... the same holds for my attempts at what Art Anker and Hitman were trying to do with the time zone lines... next to impossible without 10x the patience than what I have...

Was never aware of anything about time zone lines. I assume they were trying to put them on the map? Would be nice! Suppose I will just give warning in readme with screen shots showing where the Allied minefields are at certain ports, where to enter etc. There are PC types one can be escorted in by i.e. follow the leader , but on occasion one may not spawn so player will need reference. |
It wouldn't be so bad to "draw" markers, if you could skew or stretch a square, but you can't, and when you zoom, it also changes when the "artwork" disappears from the NavMap. You wouldn't want a minefield indicator disappearing on you just before you have to make that 90 degree turn to enter the harbor... - what you are left with is basically "custom" artwork for every field you placed.
