BREAKING: Conservative Titan Rush Limbaugh Has Died
RIP Rush.
I didn't agree with everything he said (or the way he said it in some cases) but he was a stalwart supporter of conservative philosophy and one helluva entrepreneur. https://townhall.com/tipsheet/katiep...gn=breakingbar |
I remember when he was a radio comedian back in the early 80's.
He had no education in politics or political theory and no experience in politics, but people seemed to listen to him for some reason. |
Yeah, he was one of us.

Wow! Didn't see that coming ... RIP old man :yep:
|
RIP Mr. Limbaugh.

RIP Sir

Ditto!:Kaleun_Salute: I wonder how talk radio will go now? |
The thought occurs to me that he might have to have an unmarked grave in order to keep it from being constantly violated by scum.

Let's hope God treats him with the same Empathy and Charity he had for his fellow man.

The Washington Politicians will be celebrating this weekend. For me he was my news and entertainment when i was driving over the road east to west.I would get tired of listening to the same song over and over on the radio and one afternoon. I landed on his radio channel and between government news and him i never stopped listening to Rush. Bought antennas to clamp on my mirror frames to pick up AM signals in the vast wide open spaces of the Southwest. He brought to me on those long trips news and commentary i never heard before. Here was a guy who didn't follow the rules. He actually talked about things the Politicians promised were not doing.
He has past through the valley of the politicians and all their wrath to bring as much truth to his fellow Americans as he could right to the End.But there will be another with same Integrity that man had. Rest in peace Mr. Limbaugh you have left a footprint in the memories of all Americans. |
Too bad you didn't hear about Phil Hendrie back in his prime radio days.
I have to set this up backwards, but imagine hearing this as you drove down the highway: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jkDzZvq2v0 A smart radio station would play Phil's syndicated show at odd times during the day, just to really mess with your head. :k_confused: The show always started in the middle of a bit, almost like a new station had just faded in. I figured out that it had to be a parody. What I couldn't figure out for the longest time was how he did it. :timeout: |
rip he spent several years in kansas city even work for the royals listen to him a lot while over the road him and paul harvey
|
Thanks ET2SN , after listening to that parody i went to u tube and found miniature chickens. Phil Hendrie is now in my favorites i'll use my phone to patch it thru the car radio. And i certainly would have enjoyed his radio show. Having a good laugh made those long days go by a lot easier. Thanks

To set it up, Gilbert Godfried did a benefit show in NYC just after 9/11. He told a joke about having to leave soon, his flight was scheduled to land in Atlanta, Miami, and an apartment building. It bombed, heavily. The bit became its own chapter in Dark Comedy after someone in the audience yelled "Too soon!" at the stage. Roughly one month after 9/11 Phil took it to the next level. His friend "Vernon" had gotten a job with the then-new TSA as a supervisor. "Vernon's" idea to save money was to hire mentally challenged kids to screen the x-rays for pistols, knives, and bombs. If they got it wrong, as in saying that a plastic comb was a bomb, "Vernon" would shock them with a Taser. Its been said that there's nothing worse than getting a case of the giggles while you're kneeling in front of a casket. I was listening to that show and I had to pull over to side of the road because I was laughing so hard. |
