[SH3 Commander] Officer portrait is not displayed in SH3 Commander
Hi Folks!
I started a new career with CCoM 12 in 12/1944 in a Type XXI. After returning from the first patrol and berthing at the base, an officer slot was still free. So I recruited a new officer. Unfortunately, its portrait is not displayed in the SH3-Commander under "Manage your crew ...", but the portrait is available in the boat (Crew management) itself. I also can't change the portrait with the arrow keys. Here are two sample images of the officers, who were already there when I started my career (the other officers who were there when I started my career also have a picture): https://s18.directupload.net/images/210214/egrqcd7q.jpg https://s12.directupload.net/images/210214/ld3eumuv.jpg Now the officer, I recruited after the End of the first patrol (he has no picture in the commander): https://s18.directupload.net/images/210214/mjtyx79e.jpg I use a MOD for the officer pictures, but have also tried the stock pictures. Under \ data \ Menu \ Data \ ofaces everything is of course as it should be. Can someone help? Does anyone know the problem? :hmmm: |
It appears you have two Officers with the same name.
Go to Career file in SH3 Commander and remove one of the Officers. Okay...... But, where is a career file in the Commander? :hmmm: You mean under e.g. C:\Users\**Name**\Documents\SH3\data\cfg\Careers\* *Career Name** ?? |
That's it. Crew Config file.
Not totally sure if this fixes the issue, I had it once and found this was the cause. Sorry I do not recall how or if the issue was solved. Good hunting, FUBAR295 |
Problem solved

Problem solved An User from our german DMP-Forum solved the problem. The problem occurs whenever you hire a new officer who has the same portrait as another officer who is already in the submarine. The commander cannot handle it even though the officers have different names. To avoid the problem, it is better to choose an officer with a portrait that no other officer in the submarine has, even if his qualifications do not fit. We can adjust these later using the Commander. :Kaleun_Applaud: |
Nice!!!!!!

Great work in getting things sorted out. :Kaleun_Salute: Good hunting, FUBAR295 |
